HD&C plans are so detailed that the combined subcontractors bids are 98% accurate before the first negotiations take place. Our bids are solid, and you can trust that your price won’t go up.

Our plans also have a 98% success rate in passing inspections the first time –again saving time and money. In fact, local building officials often use our plans as reference for other builders.

HD&C uses the # 1 Contractors software to track all building funds and daily progress. This ensures a firm grasp on scheduling and budget. Your finished home is always in mind. HD&C uses above standard building materials and techniques, that ensure superior appearance, strength, and long-term stability.

The following are just some examples that testify to our commitment to quality;

• Your home will have above standard products; our lumber is purchased from one of Central Florida’s top 100 privately held companies, and our Trim Supply Company offers 40% more specialty products then surrounding companies.
• To eliminate the “ripple effect” in drywall, we shave and shim all spruce studs below 12 feet and use Timberstrand studs (composite-manufactured wood for straightness) at 12 feet and above.
• We also shave and shim all bottom cords of trusses to maximize ceiling smoothness.
• We minimize concrete cracking by 80% with 60% more contraction joints. We also construct floating slabs inside stem walls on vibrator compacted soil (unless conditions dictate a mono slab).
• We use a minimum of 3,000 psi. concrete for all slabs, porches, driveways, walkways, and pads for long-term strength and stability.
• We use wire-mesh instead of fiber for added strength as well as keeping concrete level if a crack should appear.
