The Founders

Tom L. Hofmeister, is the driving force behind the vision of Lakeview Crest. He is President and CEO of Hofmeister Design and Construction, Inc. and Master Commercial Contractor’s, Inc. These Companies have designed and built over 180 projects in Central Florida.

Tom has spent the last 30+ years designing projects that are in sync with his client’s business plans. Gifted with an ability to mesh the aesthetic with the functional, Tom adeptly creates a product that brings efficiency and value to the client.

Sought after for his diverse experience, Tom served 8 years as a founding director of Florida Choice Bank, Mount Dora, FL., and 3 years on the Board of Lake County Building Examiners. Presently he is a Director of Florida Hospital Waterman and the Lake Community Foundation.

 David A. Croson, After earning BSME and MSME degrees (both from Purdue University), Dave went to work in the family business in 1977 and assumed the role of company president in 1986. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the states of Florida, Ohio and Virginia, holds Plumbing and HVAC licenses in several states and a General Contractor license in the state of Florida. JA Croson LLC, specializes in mechanical contracting for multi-family projects including hotels, senior housing, student housing, resorts, apartments and condominiums. 

Recent large projects include the 25-story Marina Grande condo tower in Daytona Beach, FL, the 260-room Freedom Pointe assisted and Independent living project in the Villages, FL , the 80 unit Mission Oaks assisted living facility in Wildwood, FL and the Wyndham Resort at Bonnet Creek in Orlando, FL. 

Dave’s entrepreneurial strength has led him to successfully own and operate several businesses over the years, building impressive value in each before their sale. Other experience includes numerous years as a board member of the Ohio Construction Industry Licensing Board, four years as a board member for Florida Capital Bank and three years as a member of Vistage International.

 

Program Development Executives

Chris Young is the Chief Operating Officer of The Hofmeister Group since 2005. Mr. Young is in charge of the day to day operations of the Lakeview Crest Development team.  He brings a wealth of Operational and Executive level Knowledge and over 20 years of experience working with both small companies and large corporation.  

Scott Runkel is the Chief Financial Officer for Osprey Lodge.  Mr. Runkel joined the team in 2010 as a shared-time CFO with Tatum LLC.  Mr. Runkel is a financial executive with over 30 years experience.  He was the CFO and Treasurer for over nine years for an Orlando based public company with shares traded on NASDAQ.  Previously Mr. Runkel was a partner at Ernst & Young and specialized in serving high-growth entrepreneurial companies and a member of the M&A practice. 

Michael Vylonis, Program Executive for the Osprey Lodge project, has 30 years as a professional in the design and construction industry. His experience includes program development and project management of Institutional, Hospitality and Theme Park projects. 
He and his company facilitate the procurement and coordination of design and construction services, while developing and managing program cost controls and schedules. Mr. Vylonis and team also manage document control systems and the permitting process. 
Mr. Vylonis’s attention to detail and high standards of accountability, has led to  the successful program development and design development of Osprey Lodge.

 Care Manager and Management

Concordis Senior Living is an owner, operator, and developer of assisted living communities. We operate an expanding portfolio of 8 assisted living and memory care properties throughout Central Florida.

Our communities provide the most complete nursing services available in an assisted living environment so that our residents can prolong their independence. Several Concordis properties are licensed for extended congregate care, providing personalized services not available in a standard assisted living facility. A customized care plan is designed for every Concordis resident prior to move-in

Concordis Senior Living, LLC is a privately held company expanding through property development, assisted living management services, partnerships, and acquisitions. 

Peder Johnsen, CEO of Concordis Senior Living 

 Prior to establishing Concordis, Mr. Johnsen led the Hampton Manor assisted living communities for 14 years. Under his tenure, the company portfolio expanded from two original properties in Marion County, Florida, to seven facilities in Central Florida. In addition to extensive experience in operations, he has overseen the development, acquisition, and financing of several communities. 

He teamed with Trent Watkins in 2008 to establish what is now Concordis Senior Living. Peder Johnsen’s family has been engaged in the operation of senior living facilities for three generations.

Trent Watkins, President of Concordis Senior Living, has primary oversight for finance, legal affairs, development and acquisitions. In addition, he served as development manager for the 89-unit Lexington Park community adjacent to the Villages in Central Florida. The project was financed through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Section 232 LEAN program.

Prior to joining Concordis, Mr. Watkins practiced law in Dallas, TX, specializing in commercial litigation and bankruptcy. He also serves as President of PWT assets, LP, a partnership that develops and manages commercial and residential properties.

Trent Watkins earned a degree in economics from the University of Texas at Austin and a law degree from Southern Methodist University in Dallas. His graduate education includes the study of tax and international law at the University of Oxford, England.
